Our transformation journey with RCP as new owner started in October 2019. It was key that what we had to achieve in the following years has been communicated by RCP very transparent and right from the beginning, so that our path towards profitability and sustainability was clear for the PowerTech team. Based on jointly defined measures and a detailed action plan, the realization of this path was supported by the PowerTech and RCP team.

From year to year, we have seen from the results that the measures were effective and that we will be able to achieve our restructuring goals ahead of our time plan. Now we are very much looking forward to our new owner ABB to continue our path towards innovation and growth.

With RCP as new owner we started right away with implementing pragmatic and realistic measures to improve our performance. And we had a very experienced partner on our side with Michael Nier from RCP that provided us direction and supported us on the ground on a daily basis.

Initially we were almost exclusively producing our products for automotive customers, but over the years we have successfully transformed our business into other industries. Albeit recent crisis such as Corona or Ukraine-Russia war, today I see OEKA TECH as being healthier than ever before!

In 2021 Axicom changed home from large multi-billion technology conglomerate TE Connectivity to private equity investment firm RCP. I must admit that at the beginning as a management team we were skeptical about how RCP would interact with us on a regular basis.

Our first joined transformation project was to master the carve-out from TE Connectivity and setup Axicom as a truly standalone organization. This has been a challenging journey, also in context of the Corona crisis happening during the same time. But it clearly showed, that RCP was giving a lot of trust into the Axicom team and that RCP truly acts hands-on, pragmatic and entrepreneurial! Together, with tremendous efforts of the involved employees, we were able to complete this goal successfully.

After many years of being part of a large corporate group, it was the change of ownership to RCP and becoming an independent company to redefine strategic direction and implement relevant measures within a short period of time. A critical success factor was the very constructive and trustful cooperation between the shareholder and management team. An entrepreneurial long-term view as well as a short decision-making approach coupled with a high implementation speed were further key success factors that I want to emphasize.
